Council Weed Spraying
On 14th June 2001, Council workers sprayed road-sides along Grays Lane and Prestons Lane.

We understand council's policy is to spray only where necessary, for example reflector posts on corners etc and not to spray where the landowners have kept their own land in order. The area was sprayed indiscriminately, including places which are always kept brushcut, places where there is no potential hazard, and places that drain into the Nature Reserve.

Preston's Lane is used daily by people walking and their kids playing, and despite this no warnings were given, and no notices posted.

As a resident of this area, I request that council should not spray anywhere along Gray's Lane, Buckley's Lane or Preston's Lane.
